"Use my location" does nothing

Your browser is blocking location for the site. Here is how to turn it on.

When location is blocked the app cannot ask again; the browser refuses on its own. You will see a card saying Your browser is blocking location for this site.

Safari on iPhone

  1. Tap the icon at the left end of the address bar.
  2. Tap Website Settings.
  3. Set Location to Allow.
  4. Reload the page.

If Location is missing there, open the iPhone Settings app, go to Privacy and Security, Location Services, Safari Websites, and choose While Using the App.

Chrome

  1. Tap the menu, then Site settings.
  2. Set Location to Allow and reload.
You never need location. Tap Type a city, state or ZIP and search anywhere.
