HUBZone Validator and checking an address

Is an address in a HUBZone, and does your firm meet the two HUBZone tests?

Check one address

Use the map-pin button in the search box. It tells you whether the address is in a HUBZone or an Opportunity Zone, and how far the nearest zone is. Free on every plan.

Am I HUBZone-eligible?

  1. Open HUBZone Validator and choose Am I HUBZone-eligible? (the first time it asks; after that it opens where you left it).
  2. Step 1 checks your principal office. It is filled in from your profile; change the address if needed.
  3. Step 2 checks the 35 percent rule. Paste the home addresses of your employees, paste a spreadsheet, or upload a .csv or .xlsx file. If it has several columns, pick which ones hold the street, city, state and ZIP.
  4. You get a plain verdict, and if you are close, how far off.

Save this check keeps the result so you can come back to it.

What it uses

The office check in Step 1 is free on every plan. Employee addresses in Step 2 count toward the same monthly address allowance as Check a list of addresses: 1,000 a month on Vantage. A free account can check 10 employee addresses, once. Running the same list again within 24 hours does not count twice. With one list and no plan, you can pay for that list once: $15 plus 5 cents an address.

This is a planning check against the current SBA map. The certification decision is SBA's.
